Phases I and II of the construction are complete, and our note has been paid! We began serving agencies and clients from our new facility on Friday, April 1st, 2005. Phase III, funding and construction of our new commercial Community Kitchen, is now underway.
Due to changing demographics, and the current economic atmosphere, hunger in Weld County is at the highest level in WFB history. In the last ten years, Weld County has grown by 37%, yet the demand for food has increased by 239%. To meet this crisis, Weld County donated land where we constructed a new 35,000-square-foot warehouse.
