General Operating Fund
Weld Food Bank is always looking for funds to assist with operational costs. Often times people think that a food bank only needs food, but this isn't the case. Most often, the Weld Food Bank can get food for free, but it takes money to transport and distribute it. For example, there may be a truckload of cereal available from a national donor in Michigan, but it can cost $3,000 or more to get the product shipped to Colorado. For every dollar it receives, Weld Food Bank can distribute $10 worth of food to needy individuals. The next time you consider buying $50 worth of food to donate, consider that Weld Food Bank can acquire and distribute more food than you could buy even at a warehouse club.
Planned Gifts
Weld Food Bank is pleased to accept gifts of stock, annuities, and proceeds from estates. Planned gifts not only allow one to leave a legacy of support to our organization, but there are tax benefits to be had today. Please contact us so that a representative can meet with you to discuss your estate planning options. Or visit www.leavealegacy-colorado.org for more information.
