Becoming A Partner Agency
Thanks for your interest in becoming a Weld Food Bank agency! We look forward to helping you in your work by providing the various food products we receive for your use.
In case you are not familiar with our program, here is a summary of our work: Weld Food Bank receives food from a variety of sources, including local, regional and national food producers. We also collect food from businesses that cannot sell the food for various reasons (cosmetic reasons, overstock, discontinued product, mislabeled product, etc.). We then distribute this food to non-profit organizations that serve people in need.
Weld Food Bank operates on a membership basis. All participating agencies must complete the application. In addition, we need verification of non-profit status in the form of a copy of your Letter of Determination from the Internal Revenue Service which indicates your agency’s non-profit status under the 501(c)3 code. We also need a copy of a safe food handling certificate for at least one member of your agency. Weld Star and Serve Safe certificates are acceptable.
Once we receive your application and you complete our information packet, we will make arrangements to visit your agency to inspect your program’s food storage facilities and share further information about our shopping process. Membership cards, which must be presented on each visit in order to shop, will be issued to each of your shoppers.
